Today's Tuesday Teacher is Mrs. Holloway, our Head of School (Principal)! She is a graduate of the University of South Florida (Undergrad - ESE-Specific Learning Disabilities) and Nova Southeastern University (Master's - Educational Leadership).

How long have you been teaching? How long have you been at WMM?

I have been an educator for 24 years. I served students in Pinellas County for 13 years and am completing my 11th year with Hillsborough County. I have had the pleasure of working with Walker staff and families for five years (two as Assistant Principal, three as Principal).

What is your fondest memory in your years at WMM?

Nothing beats walking into a classroom to see kids leading their learning. When I see kids exploring content through peer conversation, I feel so excited. They teach me so much! I also love being in our lunchroom with students! It has such a positive vibe when all of the kids are there, especially on Wolf Buck Cash out and PTSA Park days!

What are 2 or 3 fun facts about you that your students and co-workers might not know?

1) As a child and teenager, I was a baton twirler and competed at state and national competitions. I was named Miss Majorette of the Southeast and Miss Majorette of Florida at the age of 13.

2) I have four kids of my own and a new granddaughter who is eight months old.

3) I love to dance!

If there was one thing you could tell your 13-year-old self, what would it be?

You will have many acquaintances over your school-age years but will only maintain a few of those relationships as an adult! Love your best friends.....they will be with you for life!
